Aya Pirates,

Facebook targeting has been becoming less and less, finding interest and all that is pushed towards actions and running first to adopt the algorithm.

Now you don't want to run in the wild right and spend hundreds, especially if you are pushing a high-paid offer. The learning phase can take a long and expensive time.

Lead generation campaigns are however often the best.

So a little trick that you can use is creating a couple of 1 to 4-minute videos on the subject of your niche, you can run these on a few bucks under awareness and set your target on Thru View. Now you will want to go to Audience in your Facebook ad account and set up your own custom audiences like so.

I would recommend setting up a couple of audiences here such as 50% views of your video, 75%, 95%, and ThruPlay.

You will get something like this with the videos, this is from one of my accounts but you can set the budget a lot lower and just depends on how fast you want to populate these audiences you have setup.

For me, it's insane cheap as I am selling high-paid offers.

Now you will also want to create look-a-like audiences and let these fill up as well.

A bit like this.

As you can see here I got a look-a-like audience on 1% targeting the people that watched 95% of the videos.

The videos I am running are a bit boring but they are on the exact subject of the people I want to sell to.

Just to dumb it out in words, let's say you want to sell something to people who love/ like or need "Weightloss" You can get super creative with your videos like what would a fat person watch for 75 or 95% of the 1-ton 3-minute video.

Overweight people really DO enjoy their food more than other adults, just a basic example would be a simple but long video on foods with the most sugar, but in your video, you are not going to sell anything but most "fit" people would probably turn that shit off before they watched 75% of the video while fat people might watch the entire thing.

Whatever you can think of that fat people would watch so you collect the most precise audience, this is probably not the best example but you get the drift.

If you want to target people with Anxiety and sell them CBD gummies create some simple videos that relate to people that have Anxiety and try and make them as boring as possible for those who don't have Anxiety.

In a matter of days and with a much smaller budget you can collect these audiences and run to around 3 million +/- people in a much more targeted way than spending hundreds of thousands on lead campaigns that run a learning phase for a long time.

You can get insane creative, you could for example even run a dumb video ad with plus-sized clothing for females to fill up your audiences (Keep the video clean, entertaining and kinda make sure you leave people on a positive note as this will also help your page reputation and your account reputation, which will help you safe on CPCs as that is still how Facebook works.

Picture a random ass video about some cute grandma making clothes for plus-size females and just turn it into a happy-ass positive video with some random images of cool plus-sized clothing and whatever AI can fix up for you. (Just out of the top of my head)

In the end, the more positive the video the better your likes, shares, and reputation but don't make the video too interesting that the non-fat people don't watch.

LMAO Excuse just typing this out of my head I am running some other stuff atm but it very pretty much this..

Anyway, Facebook will see ZERO issues with these videos, and when your audiences and look-a-like are filling up build out your lead campaign and get much faster results.

Hope this helps some out there, will be around for questions.

The edit limited expired just wanted to add the following.

EDIT, a bit more came to mind and what I am also doing.

Make sure you brand those videos with a logo, similar colors as your "blackhat" ad is going to be so they still feel that trust from your positive videos.

I also recommend keeping those videos running, I like spreading awareness for example a video on anxiety that people can relate to and includes some nonsense that the video is made to spread awareness only.

Again this will also put your page and ad account on a higher reputation and while you keep running these videos at the same time as your BH ads you are countering the negative with positives, a bit of the Ying and yang. (You can just keep them on a lower budget)

However you put it, those videos will only provide an upside to your account and campaigns.

I never really introduced myself on here but I am Waddup so Waddup lol, anyway used to run Facebook for years and made some cool profits but life happened, health issues, and so forth but now I am back up and running again, so will hopefully be able to share some more content if you guys find it helpful.

A lot has changed in those years so I am also still figuring some things out.

People always say it's all about the data which is true but I am not running a factory and I like the mind fuck games.

You can go even further and include the horrible downsides of anxiety in your video, things like how hard it can be to sleep with all that overthinking so when they see your BH ads running (They will be running to the same people) you might be able to catch them in a much triggery and emotional state but always spin it as if you are on their side.

Just another quick one, a video about anxiety and sleep, includes breathing tips and you can also find millions of those feel-good quotes that people just love to read facts.

More to come.

If you found this interesting you might also want to have a look at what I wrote here:

What a neat trick to warm up your account, increase reputation and prepare for the BH ads. How long do your accounts last? Did you see an improvement when implementing this strategy? Followed your threads!

Just started again but so far none have gone down, bought 3 ad accounts which I added to a BM, and created two ad accounts myself.

(3+ months and running on around 1k spent per day, did take a while to hit those thresholds)

Not enough data to tell how long these accounts will stay up but collecting these video audiences as explained above is a game changer.

wow, thank you so much! This is really helpful info.

Oh wow. 3+ months is really good. You might be on to something here.

Are you able to get consistent roas with such spend? I'm running a lot of campaigns myself and getting consistent results is just so difficult on FB these days. Always wondering about results in other niches.

this is gold that doesn't usually gets attention it deserves, haven't done facebook ads before but will be doing it for my new e-book and this is really helpfull.

As for now, all I managed is to get the Roas up.

The process of fucking around and finding out is the stage I am at.

I can tell that duplicating ad sets like I always did before is no longer the best way to scale up.

Another thing I noticed is that off-facebook events have so much less impact on getting your audience right, the on-facebook events seem to be far and far more accurate thus these video views also help with that.

Il need to get back to you when I am running 5 digits daily again as I am improving as I go and start a new process or I rather call it a concept to see what that does and so forth.

Something came to mind as well, which is def going to be worth a test with one or two accounts.

(Not tested)

So was thinking about building the intro ad (and this is why I love videos) in reality someone reviewing your account has to see a maximum amount of seconds to approve or decide not to, while most people start their ads with the first few seconds with clean content you can twist that around and start with a hardcore opening similar to this.

concept_waddup.jpg

And even much more hardcore, but you keep the content super clean after that and provide a helpful introduction to natural weight, including a bunch of science-backed facts, and set the ground reputation of your account up like that.

Now you going to give yourself much higher odds as you get the negative and positive effects again here, but your account might also be put on a ban which you than appeal as the entire video is clean and fact-based but your next ones are going to be all on Keto for example.

Wait are carousal like posts also available on facebook same as on instagram? And then when they scroll to left they see a video? And there's ad function to check how many people watched that video and scrolled?

The image was a quick example, took it from Instagram, as far as I know, carousals are absolutely useless unless you run ads like Temu and Aliexpress. With a bunch of hit-and-miss products and cheap pricing. Like putting different products at cheap prices aiming that at least one catches the attention of someone.

On that topic, I almost never place my ads on Instagram or their other crappy inventory.

But it all depends on what you sell, if your ad needs a little sales pitch Instagram ads are super useless.

Will save you the time and costs to not do that.

Clever, I like that.
I'm gonna try something similar with Google and see how it works.

A useful share and I acknowledge that, I will try to increase my reputation then prepare for BH advertising.

Can you write a post about using email lists to create LAL audiences? What are the best practices etcs
