Google launched their new service platform called Helpouts and have stepped into a huge market.

Code:
https://helpouts.google.com/

The introductory video:

Do you see it as a money making opportunity (by offering help/services as a professional), or rather as another hit to organic results and more specifically websites positioned as "informational" (and promoting products) by decreasing the number of organic searches? I can see a lot of people going straight into Helpouts once it's fully developed instead of simply searching for information online. Opinions?

Well, I guess Fiverr will survive...like a roach.

a bit like webcam s*x but extended to all other niches i guess. great... another blow to real life relationships and social connections to be replaced with microchips and printed circuits boards.

Well, if this really gets properly developed won't many users simply go directly there instead of lurking between many irrelevant websites in SERPs looking for a professional advice? Think health, finance, pretty much valid for every major niche out there. Not really a game changer but just another threat from G in terms of SEO and organic searches in their strive for bigger cut of the pie.

It's quite an interesting concept and one step towards making Internet communication more human like. I don't think though that it will change everything.. atleast not now because it's still a very new service + it costs a lot of money to be used in some cases.
