Helpful Advice

So little about my situation:
I'm a Network Engineer for a small Telecommunications company UTPhone operating in 33 states and make a livable salary ($36k). I work with businesses to sell them network, design them, run the cables, setup the equipment firewalls and all, setup their phones, manage a VoIP server, manage 13 techs, research and development, manage our websites GETCONEXA, install residential phones and internet, write software to automate tasks, work with vendors, manage our offsite offices, and everything inbetween.

Currently have 1 kid with twins on the way and already struggling month to month ($1146/2 weeks) and trying to put my knowledge to use. I've tried and tried to figure out my own learning material and haven't quite got it all together and that why I'm coming to you guys the brilliant people of BHW seeking out your advice. I understand that people methods and techniques are their intellectual property and not asking for handout. What I'm looking for is advice on where to start. I have a big problem with seeing the succesfullness in everything and try and do it all and not do good at any because I spread myself so thin and have so many things that I can't devote myself to 1 great idea. I started looking at drop shipping, affliates, etc, etc and could never really focus on 1 thing because I see and understand how great each 1 can be.

So if anyone has any comments, suggestions, ideas, anything I'd love to hear it. Whether you just want to post how dumb I am, provide suggestions on where I should focus, suggest teaching material, or even a site to learn on, or even offer me a small gig I'm open to everything. This is a community and I have been a member for a long time and know I have very little posts and it's mainly because I'm hear to learn. I believe in the saying if you dont know keep your mouth closed and don't usually have anything helpful to post in most of it so I stay silent, that not exactly what I'm asking from anyone even if your a newbie I'm willing to listen to your advice because I'm not doing well fighting the pull alone, just the approach I have taken to use the community for what it is a place for people to learn and expand their skills.

You can write programs? What language(s) are you currently working or have worked with. If you know how to write programs, you can code them,and sell them. Or you can take on freelance jobs to code software/automation. Believe me, the IM world needs more coders.

Java and C#, Most of the stuff I do is modifying existing programs to get them to function like we need in my day job. My expertise is really networking and database. Plus the main reason is that my stay at home wife is wanting to get into dropshipping or affiliate stuff. Dopshipping I get but the other stuff I'm still like ahhh, Thing I'm most interested in is SEO.

I may take a look into some coding it's just not something I'm extremly passionate about, I'm use to free lancing as I use to do that with my graphics design which I kinda let go with wife and kid and 9-5 I couldn't devote the time I needed to it to make it viable.

I'm not on here very much, and I am not an IM genius like everyone else on here professes to be. But I do have a best buddy who started freaking out a couple of years ago when he and his wife found out that twins were on the way. I get it, Dude.

My only bit of advice...for some quick extra cash and a good place to begin...is to write articles for people. You don't even need a website or previous experience to start. If you do not consider yourself a gifted writer, sign up for Grammarly. It coaches you through issues of "wordiness" and everything else. Then begin with the content mills like iWriter and Hirewriters. These are very different from Fiverr. You sign up and have instant access to lots of articles to write. Just click on a topic you like, and write away. The pay starts off low, until you get some high rankings from clients. But if you can type fast and provide copyscaped and grammatically correct articles, you can easily make $100 a day (maybe $50 in 3 or 4 hours after work). Meanwhile, you can be getting ideas, learning, and connecting with affiliate marketers, bloggers, and webmasters (who will be the clients). It might give you a bit of breathing room. You don't want to RUSH into IM. It can be costly.

Ya, I know I make pretty shitty pay. I'm the only tech that we have for our whole company (utphone, Conexa, big rock internet, razz). I install telephone lines, install adsl, design and build networks for municipalities, design and build business networks from installing the circuit to configuring firewalls vpns acess policies etc..this includes pulling all my own lines and terminating them. Manage and monitor all the networks, be a system admin for our office network which includes managing a pbx, do vendor relations and source new equipment, handle our shipping of products, manage our El Salvador call center and travel between states since we service internet in 33 states. For the longest I was the only tech we had in Oklahoma and would run all over the state, now we have a few 1099 contractors that do phone installs.

This is why I'm looking to supplement my income, I'm just getting some more time in before I go somewhere else, I took a massive pay cut from my last job with less responsibilities but company went belly up. So taking what I can get
