Hello everyone, i do hope you have had a nice start to the week. I do hope you are happy and doing well.

I have been experimenting alot with trying to improve my productivity working from home. I find using music i enjoy is the best way to help me stay productive if doing a repetitive task. When trying to research something i try instrumental music. I have tried writing down positive affirmations and reminders but these do not seem to help. I please kindly wondered if you could share the most important or most valuable change you have made to help you stay productive please? I find that after maybe 2 or 3 days my productivity reduces, so i am trying to keep consistent.

Thank you very much for any support or advice you can give to help me overcome this challenge. Thank you so much for your time and your kindness.

I find this to work SOME days.

It's dozed for 30 minutes which is the maximum recommended by science.
You have to listen to it BEFORE doing any work.

It doesn't create miracles, but it does in fact work, and it's backed by science, no spiritual crap.

HIIT also works, especially if done in the morning.
There is a 2-3 hour window after the workout where you CAN function at peak performance.
Again, no miracles, but it does work MOST of the time.

Lately, I've been experimenting with boredom creation. Would literally block everything and wait 20-40 minutes to get bored.
Seems the brain needs something to do, so you will eventually get your stuff done if there's nothing else available.
Managed to pull it off 4 times out of 7.

For me, that's a win as I have an on going battle with procrastination and drive.

I have, and I found it increases FOCUS if you do it for at least 20 minutes.
The problem is that the focus increase will be towards calmness, serenity, and not completing the tasks at hand.

I've also found what works for you doesn't for me, at least for meditation.
This should be something one should choose to do on their own, if they wish. No need for someone to point meditation to them.

Whenever I meditate, and clear my prefrontal cortex, I always want to take a nap. Because I'm so calm.
This doesn't go hand in hand at 10 Am in the morning when the Jira epic board has 8 items marked TO DO and 7 more marked IN PROGRESS, all assigned to you.

Well you have a different problem try changing your diet that might help switch to veggies

Meditation/reflection has always helped me.

Small steps really helps with productivity. Getting a few small goals done while working towards the big goals.

Also, a rewards system was beneficial some years ago for myself. Such as:

- 2 hours of work, 1 30 minute break with a comedy special playing/candy bar or something else I wanted.

Something like that. The more you can ask from yourself, the more you end up giving yourself. It floods your brain with dopamine and working becomes calming/happy.

If your mind is calm enough, you can find joy in getting things done
