Help with YT Shorts niches

Hi all! I'm looking to launch a YT channel capitalising on YT Shorts to build a monetised channel. Have identified a couple potential niches but I'm worried they might not help my channel get monetised. The ones I'm looking at are:
  • male self-help shorts featuring people like Gary V, Eric Thomas, Andrew Tate
  • hot celebs/KPop idol niche showing sexy snippets from shows & concerts
  • high impact highlights from sports <15 seconds with effects and edits
  • AI narrated Reddit content with pexel stock footage
  • short, original storytelling paired with AI art & AI music
What do y'all think, do any of these niches work / any I shouldn't waste my time with?

Hmm this part is hard. Ngl, I would love the storytelling bit but not very confident I'll get views.

And I'm kinda in a situation of have to be practical first and go with what works. Once I have some income flowing in then I can explore my passions.

Oh interesting, thanks! I was actually looking at basketball cos I saw some clips with high views.

Is there a way to see what is the most viewed content on TikTok/Reels/YT Shorts? Would be very useful in making a decision.
 
You need to consider if you get monetized. I don't think you will get monetized with sports highlights and often also AI. You should need vlog type of content or quality edits and animation. But good luck

I highly doubt any of these content will get approved into Partnership programme.
Most of the content you listed here is not eligible.

So even if I get the views and subs, I still won't get monetised? That would really be a waste :(

What about with my original stories though? I love writing stories but I can't draw, animate or make music to save my live. Plus, my face & voice make makes Shrek look good. So was thinking of taking excerpts from my stories, using midjourney to generate images based on my excerpt, and AI music/copyright free music for background music. Would that get monetised?

I guess I still need to figure out other faceless niches I can make work for YT as well, can't just rely on one idea.

You will not get monetized if you use just pics and background music, you need to add some voiceover someway, try to create some voiceover using ai services or microsoft azure..etc
