I became interested in becoing an IM after getting paid a decent amount to post ads for escorts on Craigslist with the easyad machine in cl heyday. After being a member of that forum I have been motivated to spend crazy hours trying.
I have been studying this blog for years and recently joined to post a comment. After years of reading and trying to get a game plan together I decided to take someone advice and just jump into it and figure it out as I go.
Well,I bought a catchy awesome domain name for a news site in my hometown of Memphis and after plucking a few copies of news from major sites I saw that I could possibly get my site shut down for not paying for a subscription. I dont know how much that would cost but I imagine that would be more than I can afford. So I left that site alone thinking that I would get income from somewhere else so that I wont risk tons of time rewriting articles only to make it to the point of getting traffic and being put out of business.
So I decided to go the IM Guru route to put everything I've learned into a nutshell and I see a good im blueprint that is made into a 6 month course for 7bucks. For the price of his course I felt I could add to it,spin it and make a bunch of posts to a wordpress blog on a website then market the ebook through ejunkie and hopefully at the same time build a following to the website. If you know what I mean. Thats gonna take a ton of work but seem that it can be quite profitable adding affiliate info and all.
But in the meantime I looked and saw that another project I started a few months back then left it alone had twenty visitors from only 2 posts. I didnt pay for a domain name as this was before I paid for the news site domain thinking the news site would bring me visitors faster and i could make money using google ads program where they place ads on my site and I get paid per click. So this wordpress site is thisinsurancething.wordpress and I had a ehealthinsurance banner on the post I made and got discouraged thinking how are these visitors gonna click on this banner and buy insurance? Why would they?
Well today I went to that account and saw that free site had 20 visitors from two pages! So I am encouraged like hell because I have some paypercall numbers from cj I think this sort of thing will be worth working hard for!Perhaps I can creat 20 posts a day and use the social bookmarking and really get views! I am imagining using the backlink stategy and everything!
But now I run into another problem. I see that I cant advertise ish(nothing) on wordpress blogs except one amazon link! But I know I have saw a hundred posts from marketers on this website saying that they use wordpress. So my question is,Whats the catch? Can I not post Affiliate links,or do they just have to be cloaked with pretty link? Do this rule only apply to the .wordpress free blog that is hosted on wordpress? This seems to be the most reasonable thing that it would only apply to my site that is hosted on wordpress. But I know I saw a post here that says if you cant buy a domain then just use wordpress? How can this be done if I am not allowed to advertise anything. If I can only advertise my paypercall number then I think this would be worth the work but I would like to know.
I guess what I am trying to ask is this. Is im with a wordpress a thing I have to completely pretend Im not doing bycloaking affiliate links and using a forwarding number for the telephone numbers and no email list building or banners?
Im sorry for the long post but I am looking for any and all suggestions other than the "want fries with that". Maybe somone will tell me to focus on the news site thing and add 100s of page then do google ads and paid ads. For get subscribing just make sure to spin the article so it look unique and never tell where I got the article from. Because I been thing,"How will NYTimes know I got the article from them? Maybe someone will tell me to build the wordpress health insurance site with dozens of pages acting as a insurance agent and get alot of subscribers then tell me a unique way to get emails.
