Help with WordPress issue

Oct 5, 2009
I'm setting up a new blog and running into something I've never seen before. Curious if anyone else and/or could offer any advice.

Using WP 3.01 (which I've used before, on a different host from this one), when I go into the admin dashboard and move widgets out of the sidebars, the changes don't "stick" - I still have the default widgets.

And if I add a new widget to a sidebar I can drop it in the sidebar area, but when I try to save it I just get the spinning progress wheel. And if I navigate away from and then back to widgets in the admin panel, the newly-added widget is no longer in the sidebar widgets list.

Any ideas? TIA.

peace - gregs.
