Help with wordpress ecommerce

Hey everyone. I have been working on my wordpress ecommerce site. I am developing it for a family friend, so far i've been learning as I go it's my first time using wordpress. I just about have everything the way I want but I am struggling with two things.

1. FTP I am using Filezilla but I guess I am doing something wrong when I transfer over files they are not working.

2. Bullets at the bottom of the site. The template came with so many I simply want to edit them and remove some if possible.

That's about it surprisingly I've gotten everything else to work out the way I want.

Anyone who can help me with this I would be willing to pay. I only want people that know exactly what they are talking about/doing with wordpress I don't just want people to come and guess.

1. The files you are referring to are they going into a specific theme folder or are you dumping them on the root of the domain?
2. "Bullets at the bottom" what theme are you using? I can likely help you with this one as well.
