Help with white hat SEO for offline business?

Hello friends. I need some help, i've got a small offline business in computer repairs, I've recently bought a domain name for it and I've found a few low'ish (maybe medium) competition keywords, I'm going to setup the site and I was thinking of setting up some kind of a blog with constantly updated content so that I can constantly get new backlinks for the computer repair site. I was thinking of posting content on how to tweak your PC, how to repair minor stuff, how to install programs and how to do basic stuff around your PC. BUT most customers usually have minor problems that they don't really know about because they are not tech savvy and if they see my blog with instructions on how to fix your computer and tweak it and the tools I use then I will probably be getting no customers since they will end up fixing their own PC. So what content could I post on the blog in order to keep it constantly indexed by google with new pages? I don't really want to put any how to instructions on fixing pc's and tweaking them because then most people will end up doing everything themselves... I was thinking of maybe posting news content but then again what kind of news for a local computer repair site? Any ideas??????

Since your business is offline, bricks and morter kind of computer shop you probally wants customers walking in the door...geo-target your terms and go after it locally

The business is offline but it's really small and I don't have a computer shop. I work from home and I advertise through posters and other means of local advertising. It's not full time, it's only part time but would be great to make it a full time business. Either way I don't think you've read my thread properly, it's not the website or seo that I'm having a problem with, it's the blog and content, I want to add a blog but I don't know what content to add on it without making the customers fix their own PC's.

maybe you could keep the blog about general tech and PC info, rather than having tips on. have reviews of new software, new laptops, iPad etc, etc.

Is it computer repairs only, or do you sell computer parts? hard drives etc? Then you could probably review the different options etc, and end each one with we've got the best deals for it.
If it's only computer repairs, then just talk about the latest in computers etc, if you don't want to mention how to repair them. Maybe some informative posts, like how to make it faster etc too
