help with video embeding on wordpress

hi,i have searched and wasn't able to find solution.I know there are several methods for posting youtube etc videos.

I want to embed an flv video in my wordpress blog.
i have searched:
<object width='425' height='355'><param name='movie'

can anyone plz help on how can i post video on my blog.What should be the complete code.i have also tried different things with:

<param name="movie" value="http://www.y00utube.com/v/dz3tPxUFGbY&rel=1 <http://www.y00utube.com/v/dz3tPxUFGbY&rel=1> ">
</param><param name="wmode" value="transparent">

What should be the embed code?

Also this flv is hosted on someone else server.I don't them to know that i am using their flv.How can i hide my url?

hey james, this is what has worked for me. maybe you have tried it but here it goes:

when writing a post make sure you click on the "code" tab instead of the visual tab. once in that field, hit "code" in the menu bar below the tab so that "<code>" shows up in the field. after that place your embedded video code, then hit code in the menu bar again to close it off "</code>". so it should look like this (using your example embedded code below, i've bolded for emphasis what you need to see before and after your embedded code to make it work)

<param name="movie" value="http://www.y00utube.com/v/dz3tPxUFGbY&rel=1 <http://www.y00utube.com/v/dz3tPxUFGbY&rel=1> ">
</param><param name="wmode" value="transparent">
</param><embed src="http://www.y00utube.com/v/dz3tPxUFGbY&rel=1 <http://www.y00utube.com/v/dz3tPxUFGbY&rel=1> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object></code>
