Hello,
Before upgrading ubuntu, please know this:
Ubuntu 14.04 which you are currently using is an LTS version (Long Term Support), the updates and security support for this version will not end from ubuntu. However, 15.04 is a beta version and in not stable which leave it glitchy and vulnerable (Not LTS), support for 15.04 ends in January 2016. After January 2016, you will not receive any further security/any update from ubuntu for this version.
Regarding your Question:
The only difference between 14.04 and 15.04 is performance related. However, 15.04 currently does not support many apps which is supported by 14.04 (disadvantage).
IMO, you should wait for the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, due to be released in April 2016, is expected to include Unity 8 running natively on Mir.
Note: Ubuntu releases LTS versions every 2 years..
Hope this information will help in your decision!
Regards,
