I have a blog in the "dog" niche. Currently with 80 articles and all of them are posts. 2 Categories - Breeds & Taking care.

If I need to create a Silo structure, what is the best way to do it? I need your help on this.

If Breeds is one silo, then how can I optimize for the "German Shepherd" post? Should I create one page for the "German shepherd" breed and create posts linking to that page?

So, the structure would be like this:

Breeds (Silo page) > Breed 1 page > Post 1,2,3....

Need your opinion on this. Thank you!

Here's What i would do :

If i had a site like yours and had let's say 4 types of Dogs : Shephered - Buldog - Pitbull And a chiwawa

i would create 4 articles about each one of them .

Would Add those 4 to the home page like if they are categories .

then would see the all the articles i have about each one of them let's say shephered for example and make a good silo about them link each other but mainly link to the main article which is German shepherd that is also one of the 4 i added to the home page .

also from that article i would link to some (the most important) articles in the shephered category .

Would do this for all the four categories and would stay away from the website for a while .

you'll notice after that that you'll rank for some keywords and will drop for others - just let it sit for one month or so is what would i do .

after that would start building some links to it .
