Help with shorts

So, I've been uploading shorts consistently for a couple of weeks now. My own, original stuff, but it's not even getting shown in the feed. I've also been uploading the Same vids to Instagram reels and am consistently getting 2-4k views. Should I give up on the YouTube channel, or is it a longer game? Tia

Don't upload shorts each day, upload 1-2 shorts per week and upload one regular video per week.

i upload 3 shorts every 2 days , i leaves them up for
a few days, if they dont hit 10k+ i re upload them

use already ranking tags in the short video title, it is super important.
