I'm reaching out because I'm in a bit of a tough spot and could really use your expertise. There's some information about a client of mine floating around online that's not just inaccurate, but it's actually damaging his reputation. I've tried reaching out to the website owners to get it taken down, but they're just not budging.
I'm wondering if you might have any ideas on how someone could get this content removed? I'm open to any suggestions at this point . Also, I've been doing some research and came across the idea of "pushing down" negative search results. Is that something that actually works? If so, how could we go about doing that for the links that are causing me trouble? I know this is a lot to ask, but I'm really at my wit's end here. Any help or advice you could offer would greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your time. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I thought you might talk about negative SEO which is targeting some one of your competitor to get down on ranking. There is lots of service providers available to remove the negative SEOs.

pushing down the pages in the SERPs could not be discussed here, even for your case,
depending on the authority of these pages, you could probably outrank them using a bunch of parasites,

you don't even need to link back to the website, you'll need to basically write different content for each targetting the main branded keywords,
facebook, medium, reddit and similar sites could do the work, depending on the niche, you can find niche relevant parasites that could rank easier as well,
pointing some links to these pages afterwards could make sure they're always higher in ranking, all depends on the competition and the websites/pages tho

ORM - Online Reputation management.

Create a bunch of content around the client and post them on high-authority sites that will rank immediately for the client name keywords.

When your own articles start to rank on top of the results, and engage more, that negative article will automatically go down the results page

It's kind of expensive but still worth it for premium clients whose reputation is more important

We have tried them for some of the clients and it works.

Thank you for the response, could you please direct me to the correct area to post this question? If you have any recommended individuals that could help with such a problem would be very appreciated.

Can't really recommend anyone, sorry,

You can post in the HAF section,
Make sure you're dealing with someone who will/can do the job as there's a ton of spammers,

Make a deal that you'll be able to get a refund and warranty period,
If the person can't achieve the results, if he don't ask for a refund and open a dispute if it's needed ^^

Pay microworkers to write positive reviews and say that these harmful accusations are a lie
