Help with purchasing an aged domain

Hi,

I am looking for some advice regarding purchasing an aged domain and wasnt sure which part to put it in.

Basically the URL i have been offered is 8 years old. It has no backlink profile or page rank.

Is there any benefit of having this domain or will it be the same as purchasing a brand new one?

Any advice would be appreciated.

8 years old did you check the PA/DA ?

He hasn't had a site on the domain for about a year. I was purchasing it simply because it was an aged domain so if i start some decent SEO on it - would it work better than a new domain? or just the same?

Well aged domains may work but not all time its better you start with a new domain
