Okay, so I am using Pure VPN for my connection. I purchased 100 Yahoo accounts where I was told different proxies were used to make them.
So, I used the yahoo emails to open accounts and using my VPN connection, about a week later these accounts were closed. They didn't last as long as I wanted.

How are they finding out? They usually get closed all at the same time. So, they are able to link all the accounts some how...Not sure how, I thought I was well hidden. Any suggestions?

Possible reasons:
1)Your VPN IP is blacklisted for spam, abuse
2)The VPN IP location is different from the proxies which were used to create those accounts
3)It was noticed that you were logging in with the same IP/cookies for these dozens of accounts
etc...

Agree with SEOSHine, that or the guy selling them knew they were about to be shut down.

Thank you all for your help. I have noticed the VPN connection is from Canada. The person who makes my accounts, uses proxies based out of USA...I am not sure if that matters. I did identify this problem with the person who makes my accounts. If there is anyone who thinks they can do better, I am up for hiring them. PM me for details.
Thanks

I use Pure VPN...The proxies are changing constantly. I used to get booted from even accessing the website with error code 404, but now I don't ever get that since using VPN Connection (Pure VPN)

You should use virgin dedicated proxies, create the accounts yourself and always use the same proxies for the account you have created.
Pure VPN ips are shared between their users, so you do not know what exactly the other users of pure vpn are doing with their ips.

If you opened these accounts in a browser it is possible that you did not fully clear cookies or some combination of some or all of the following; changed IP address (from USA creation to Canadian login), leaked IP or some other variable that could have been from the creator of the accounts.
