Hi Just Made a new website spent a good amount of time and money and i cant get traffic i really need help its a tech news website that pulls news from all the major news networks please help

Traffic dosn't magically appear (in most cases) once you have a site. Sounds like you need to do a little more research as this is an advanced topic. There are MANY ways of getting more traffic to your website on this forum. Do a little more reading. Start by getting backlinks, from social bookmarks and blog comments and stuff like that.
 
You can put money into advertising your site through google or facebook ads, people should be able to find your site that way. And of course if your content is good they'll be back for more and they might even want to share your site. So make sure you have some ways for them to share to their social networks.
 
Where does your website show up in the SERPS for your best keywords (Google Yahoo Bing)? What's the monthly search volume on those keywords?
 
Main thing is you need to optimize keywords, you may be targeting some keywords, do SEO for those keywords and keep checking progress, once your keyword in top 3 you would be getting traffic according to the searches of any particular keyword.
 
I would suggest firstly to put a subscription type membership on your site say a low level free to all members then a second level for paying members who would get premium content, with the data you collect from this source you would be able to generate a email campaign,

I would also look at some kind of backlink building program and thirdly try and get as many social signals as possible Google+ Facebook Twiiter,this would be the best place to start to help build your traffic

I hope you get your helpful suggestion. But, unique content is appreciated for more traffic.
 
Well i have had the same problem in the past i used viral socials for that although i don't think they give site traffic anymore D: but there is another one named add me fast its pretty easy to use to boost your traffic and get you extra traffic! good luck!
 
Also you could advertise your website on forums like this if you think your site may be of some use to people.
 
I agree with controls, a solid social media presence for your blog is a fantastic way to build traffic. a suggestion I would like is to also give a free give away to your followers, this way it will help you gain more traffic to your blog.
 
1. Social media presence
2. Blogging (do guestpost on related blogs)
3. link exchange with like niche
4. directory submission
5. blogs/forum commenting

All these will help to get you traffic

Duplicate content from the sounds of it. Going to be hard to get traffic for the dupe content, especially as I'm sure there are other sites doing the same thing. The fact that people are still telling people to do a ton of directory submission is beyond me.

1. Build Social Profiles and actively interact with users and others in your niche. Build a real following, won't matter if your content is dupe unless competitors notice.
2. Guest Posting and Blogging on other sites.
3. Other linking opportunities.

The real question is why aren't you using unique content?
 
i will suggest to use unique content and optimize your on page and off page seo.See the marketpace here for seo services.Questions,quizzes for your readers and contests are few ideas that i have now.Also dont forget facebook and twitter.Then you can offer low price advertises and earn some money.Create videos with new products presentations etc.Do it like a pro and dont just copy and paste content from other websites.The most difficult part is that you should not lost your interest and let your website die.
