Help with my Blog, my First Time Out

A couple of people have suggested I start a blog, so I have. Here's the link:

I've accidentally made myself a Member with 2 other accounts while trying to figure out which account I used to create it so I can log in. I guess that's good, and I guess that's "blackhat", lol.

I only read other people's blogs occasionally, and have very little understanding of what is commonly done, etc...

Any help appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Yes, monetizing is the goal. Mostly I want to see if I can. Also, I like to learn, but in order to do this I have to have something "practical" to do in order to implement the theory in a real-life endeavor.

My primary interest is in Search Engine Optimization. I'd like to use this blog as a way to learn how to do that. So whether the blog succeeds or fails is secondary; learning how to get it listed on Google is more important. Ultimately, I'd like to be able to sell the service of SEO in order to make some real money.

one tip is to update regularly with new posts. your first and second posts were nearly a month apart, really need to update more often if possible

Part 1.

Writer or buy unique keyword related articles.

Part 2.

You must search the web for products you can sell in your articles..

The sky is the limit.

You can sell Amazon, Ebay, or find someone more defined for your niche.

Part 3.
Promote your blog.

Repeat proces.

Also, its not always the first blog you try that turns out to be your money maker.

Thanks I appreciate that. That's why I started this thread, because I was getting ready to start writing and wanted some idea of a direction.

I write a lot of forums and craigslist, and decided that I could put the same amount of energy into my own blog, and maybe make some money.

I intend to write all of my articles. Everything I have read thus far indicates having quality articles is what's critical, and I do not think I can pay for something that is as good as what I can do myself. Maybe I'm wrong on this, but that's what I think right now.

How does one sell products in the middle of a blog? Somehow I thought you made money by clicks. People subscribe/follow the blog, and somehow that makes money. Not sure exactly.

How does one "promote" a blog. I've seen people spamming craigslist, and thought I might do the same. Also thought I could harvest emails (somehow) and spam invitations by email.

The "blog theme" is really about me, what my interests are, what my opinions are, etc... The "Producers and Parasites" name is a political reference to the idea that there are two kinds of people in society; those that create things (produce) and those that sponge off the producers. Think Ayn Rand. The common theme isn't apparant, but I think eventually it will be. And I think, eventually there will be interest. As I see it, my "talent" is to identify previously unexplored areas of social and conversational "resonance".

My belief is, if I build it, "they will come". My intent at this point is to "build it" in the best way possible, and to be ready for them when they do come. Thanks for the help.
