So last night I did a little experiment, that went rather well. Except for the $0.56 payout. Booooo. The traffic system works though...
In the first hour my site has 256 visits, and just over that in the second hour (I mean just over ANOTHER 250 visits...so nearing 600). I'm harnessing a good stream of traffic, mainly of the 16-25 male market.
On this site I had a fake video link. This had 130 clicks in the first hour.
I originally linked this to my adult friend finder affilate link, all my content saying that this internet personality I had developed used that site. My only problem from there is that everyone then left AFF, 130 unique IP's and 0 - THAT'S ZERO - sign ups. $0.56. Woop.
That aside, AFF will change my affilate plan if this continues, so I'm thinking of removing that link.
My question of Guru's and the like here - is how else to monetize this? If I could say get just $1 from those 118 video link clicks, that $118 an hour. Surely there's something else?
I thought maybe a page then explaining that they should sign up to AFF, get their e-mail code and then e-mail it to me for xxx content. But all other brainstorming Ideas would be useful.
Anyone with any ideas would be fantastic.
I intend to be more specific with the traffic and website method when it brings in the bacon that it really has the potential to do, I won't hold out on you guys! I just don't want to saturate the market I'm using just yet
