Help With Making Micro Niche Sites

Ok, I want to make a site like this

- not so crappy, but same idea!

this site currently ranks at number 11 (number 1 on the 2nd page)

This site beats other sites like TKMaxx, MarieClaire, and JDWilliams
is this because he has more CONTENT rather than just a description?

My question is, it it easy to beat online clothes-selling website is i use good SEO and other linking strategies? or is this just an acception?

Last question, how hard would it be to complete with online clothing outlets?

No flaming if this is a 'noob' question I just need some help and guidance

Remember PAGES are ranked, not sites.

A lot of stores have pages for products that nobody links too. You can easily come in with 10 links and beat them out.

Check the backlinks for the pages you are trying to compete against. Get seospyglass free or something.

It's all about backlinks.

Thanks for that comment that's a very good way to put it, do you know how much 'Domain Age' accounts to a page's PR?

I've had a look and a lot of them have 0 backlinks, these would be great for getting higher than in the Search Results

Do you use SEOSPYGLASS for analyzing competator backlinks. I used it last week and i m not impressed with it.

I tried to spy 1 link like this yourdomain.com/somepage
and after running seo spyglass i got around 1000 backlinks from all the pages of that website instead of yourdomain.com/somepage
