I think its kind of review website mixed with ecommerce. So you may not need to focus on any specific keywords from offpage point of view. You can promote it using generic keywords while the inner categories or inner pages can be targeted based on niche keyterms

At the heart of any SEO strategy is keyword research. It's the foundation that you build upon. eCommerce SEO is a different ballgame and should be treated as such. One of the biggest things about eCommerce is you don't want to focus too hard on SEO that you're not considering conversion tactics. Make your contents for humans first, Google robots second.

Also, if it's a super new website I would be patient. I've had to build websites from scratch and wait 6 - 12 months before seeing ANY signs of life.

Yes that's true. It depends on competition avg content length for a given keyword but as starting point you need to go beyond 1,890 words. This came from 2018 studies on average content length and position rankings from Brian Dean / Backlinko. And it's worked for me in the past.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post my website here but if I can let me know as I'll post it as a reply. My website is similar to thisiswhyimbroke.com where I post interesting items and places to go. I post electronics, fashion stuff, gadgets, home stuff, pretty much anything I find pretty cool. In addition, I also post interesting places to eat or explore.

I am an Amazon Affiliate so I try to keep my items limited to Amazon items. I'm hoping in the future if my site gets bigger, I can use this as a review site where I can go to new places, review them, and advertise for them for the extra money but that is just a dream if everything works out.

With that said, my keywords are "Finding Something Interesting" but I don't know if I should change it up to better my SEO? I have a very basic knowledge to keyword research and right now I'm only using Google Keyword Planner to find my keywords. I plugged "Finding Something Interesting" into Google and got nothing so I feel like this won't help as I try to improve my SEO.

Do you guys have any recommendations as to what I can change my keywords for my site or should I just leave it and continue to learn more about SEO? Again, I'm new so I'm still learning everything I can right now!

I think you first need to understand keyword reserch.

adwords is good enough to get some really good keywords and a really good learning place to learn keywords.

all the apps on the market use adwords some way.

but adwords is the standard keyword king.

studdying adwords might help a lot , you need to learn all the stats

then i am sure your no keyword research very well.

most people don't do kw research and lern apps to cut corners but it very important.

most apps used are .

Google trends << to find good keyword in a nitch.

longtail pro << to find the best long keyword
from the google trends.

kwranker << to find the strenth result score of the longtail keyword , the lower the score easer to rank that keyword.

adwords << to find the real cpc value, adwords cost per click will let you no that advertisers are using the keyword you found and worth going for with a afflicate, to earn cash
