I have tried posting a "job" on every freelancing site online with people promising "i can do it", yet they have no idea what needs done. I hope someone can help me here!

Here is what i need done:

I own a Google Chrome Extension and I have Google Analytics installed on the "Google side" of things, which displays stats of who/when/where people are on the Google Extension Download page. (Note: This is not referencing analytics for the extension itself, but just the download page on Google's own site).

I need to set a "Goal" in Google Analytics to track when someone clicks "download/install".

Please, if anyone could help! I am pulling my hair out. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, and youll probably stay bold lol.

Well, what you need to setup is CUSTOM goal,
since you want to track a certain on page click. Furthermore
youll also need to install Google Tag Manager (GTM), and
enable click variables in GTM. After that youll need to create
a list of links you want to track - usually create click triggers
for all links on given page. Finally youll need to identify
unique variable that triggers your desired link (download/install
click in your case) and set it as only trigger on given page.

This is just simplified explanation of the proces, but you
can use it as guide for your particular case, and search
the web for more details. Basic knowledge and understanding
of html-css-js is necessary to identify unique variables as
triggers. All in all its more like a job for programer than
for just regular average marketer.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your project.
