hey guys I'm looking for a little help. Looking to create a ecommerce website that I will be selling my own products (fresh Christmas wreaths) on but I would like to ad a little twist to it. the website would have our standard products but I would like to have a design center where people could design their own custom wreath with all the options we offer on a wreath. does anyone know how tech savvy you would need to be to do this or how much it would cost to have a freelancer do the job.

    Thanks Everyone ,
    First post, love the site

Some thing like making your own tshirt design or logo designs.. there are many sites out there which works on the same principle.. the program would be Flash Action script and it would cost anything from $1500 - $2500

You could create the design centre using HTML5's Canvas element and some Javascript. Don't use Flash ActionScript, the 90's are over.

As for the eCommerce platform, it depends on the number of products. If your product line is simple you could use WordPress with Woocommerce. For larger eCommerce solutions take a look at Magento.

Flash & Actionscript? Didn't even know that existed anymore.

I'm pretty sure if you go the prebuilt CMS route (WP etc.) there's a couple of plugins out there to do custom designs.

    How tech savvy are you?

Thanks for the replies. I have design a couple simple sites just don't know if this idea is going to be to complicated for what experience I have. You guys hit it on the head with it being like a t-shirt design ex. your have an undecorated Christmas wreath and you can add different color bows, add cones or even different decoration we offer to make your custom wreath decorated however you wanted it.
