Help with a (hopefully) profitable niche site

Hi guys, hop you're all good.

I've found a real good keyword, with high adwords competition, good CPC $2.50 + and good search volume.

My main problem is the fact of buying an EMD.

There are no .coms available so what should I do

Let's assume my keyword is ferarri cars

I can find an EMD using the .us extension, would this rank well?
I can also find a .org like this - ferarri-cars . o r g

Will the hyphons effect the ranking results?

.org EMDs are ok but I belief no hyphons > hyphons. The competition and your on/offsite SEO will decide wether it ranks.

Instead of buying an EMD, buy an aged, PR3+ domain. There is no need of the keyword in the domain. If your domain has some strength in it, it will be easier to rank.

I had a similar problem, what I did was just added an "x" to the keyword. So it became www.yourkeywordx.com , I think that is good enough, or you could put an "online" after your keyword like www.yourkeywordonline.com .
