Sigh, guys...as a designer, I have to say, this thread is really sad. I'm not complaining because I think the evil Fiverr is taking my business. Fiverr caters to one type of client, I cater to another. But if any of you think that a logo you get for $5-$100 is "professional," or "beautiful," you are sadly mistaken. The comment above mine is a good example.
In what industry--in what universe--do $15 and "professional" ever go in the same sentence?
Remember, just because you think a logo looks good doesn't mean your visitors do.
The very fact that you have to hire someone to design a logo for you kind of indicates that you don't know good design when you see it. Not trying to offend, but that's the truth.
You'd be amazed at how many people here have raster logos, and that's just the tip of the ice burg. You always have to consider kerning, color balance, cultural implications of particular designs, etc.
If you're serious at all about business, get a serious designer.
(No PMs, please, I'm not looking for work right now)
I know I've just made some of you mad, so go ahead, have at it.
Cheers.
