I have a guy in my local market where I get clients who SEOs a nationwide company

His strategy is to take his 15-20 sites and push all the competition down to the bottom of the list. He has 5-10 sites top 12 particularly on 2 keywords I want. I am kind of lost at this point on what to do about his strategy per my site being 9 months old and him having so many sites that are nationwide and well aged domains. He definitely knows I am there per copying some of my content and adding tons of his sites where I been trying to rank on 2 most popular keywords.

One of his backlinks - example of types of links he can get anytime he wants
He also generates the same amount of local traffic with each location page per ahref. Like he pays to have a location page searched and clicked through per a exact keyword, which i dont get yet other than organically done.

There are 2 other competitors in the niche who do well against him but they been there for year and have profiles of 20k-75k links of which seem pretty random like they just seek anything even if spammy.

I was ranked 5th and 6th on these two keywords until he added tons of sites and pushed me down.

you are shit out of luck pretty much. maybe getting few solid backlinks to see the impact?

I really don't know the mechanics of nowadays site's promotion. All I can say is that you are a lucky guy! But don't worry, spamming is a bad strategy, just do your work and you'll achieve the results!

Internet marketing nowadays, especially SEO in certain cases, could be implemented in a "https://simple.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/badass" manner by aggressive players.
In your particular case you have mentioned that a competitor is aggressively out ranking you in (Google) search, by having multiple websites and effective SEO strategies for all of his or her websites. In such a particular and specific scenario it would be difficult to outrank that person's multiple websites. One idea is to do exactly what that person is doing and it is not an illegitimate practice to have multiple websites. Of course this would mean additional expenses and additional time spent on SEO. Not only SEO, but almost all other industries are nowadays getting disrupted by aggressive players. Another way you may outrank that competitor is by running paid ads such as Google Ads. But, let us not forget that even in Google Ads, they are some badass marketers outranking competitors by running ads for multiple websites of their own.

The links he gets cant be matched. I just paid for HARO and going to see if I can advertise there. google ads does get the business class.

It is nice to know then that this companies tactic is a thing. I have bad luck like always but to run into a niche where a brand has 10-12 websites all of them with 2k-10k backlinks, uses eventbrite and allevents like a bro and even owns the websites that are related to other events and pushes them toward the 10-12 sites.

Another competitor in the market again outranks this guy by having 77-100k backlinks. I dont get that either since the links are so bad. His best links are in forums or directories.

I have a question though, He gets 39k traffic on his best site and on each location page its just better than everyone else like 30-50 ppl. Its just to consistent to be natural. Is he paying for exact keyword traffic? What is that called to get a visitor with a exact keyword paid for.

To me the answer is actually a lot simpler than you may be making it out to be. Based on everything you have said, this guy is just executing better than you (stronger links, superior marketing, multiple websites to bury you and all other competitors).

It sounds like you have analyzed what he is doing pretty well, so now you just have to figure out how to do what he's doing, except do it better.

If he has 10-12 sites to bury the competition, make 20.

If his links are stronger than yours, build a high powered PBN in this market to get links he can't.

As for the authority links like the one you shared, there are BST threads here where you can buy those types of links.

Or if it's truly that hopeless because he's so far ahead of everyone else, just take his exact strategy and apply it in another local niche that you know you can compete in.
