[HELP] Why my meta description is not updated?

Did you post new posts or you have updated the previous post?

Are you searching with any kind of same terms that you are using in content or just a brand name?

New post, i searched with keyword on google...

In that case, You can wait for some more time to reindex your post then check OR remove the meta description and then insert after few days.
I would prefer to wait for some more days.Make sure the meta and your page content have relevance, you don't any duplicate meta tags.

Moreover, we can give guide google to show the respective terms to show as meta but we can not force google what should be shown in the meta description.

Are you using yoast it could be because of that, secondly wait for few days it should automatically work or reindex it

Yoast is playing up on a site of mine. The writer published 4 articles over the weekend and results say keyword was found once, despite it being there 5 times across a 1900 word piece.

downgrade the version to 14.0.4 the new version above it are messed up, and last stable version 13.5 also had issues. Try the version I have suggested reindex the links it’ll work

If the meta description is correctly shown on the page source you don't have to worry at all. Most of the time google will select few sentences or a paragraph from your site to be shown as a meta description if it 'thinks' that it fits better according to the searched query.

13.5 had issues? What kind of issues? I downgraded to that version recently to it from 14+.

Meta description can be changes according to the search query.

To see what you had upload meta description for each page you have to wait so that googlebot can crawl and index.

If you do not provide the meta description, Google will generate itself. Check with your CMS and update so the issue can be fixed.

Google probably picked up best meta description themselves. This always used to happen to me on my sites, simply becuse they thought my own meta description was not "good enought" for them.

Their one is terrible :D

If you've recently updated your description, Google probably hasn't indexed the new description yet. It can take up to a week for Google to index the changes you made, depending on how often your website is crawled. ... Sometimes you can speed up this process with the Inspect any URL tool in Google Search Console.

You can reduce your description to 140 characters and reindex it again
