(help) why is my competition beating me?

Hello guys,

i have been trying to push one of my sites really hard. because of my limited funds i do everything manually. i got the free version of Traffic travis and started following my competition. the guy ranked number 1 has the exact match domain name as mines . hes a dot net and im a dot org. i cant seem to understand why he is beating me like crazy with less backlinks. i saw his site and IMO i have better content.



as you can guess i am in the frugal living niche. i am ranked 9th and he is ranked 1st. i was ranked 5th 2 days ago so i am blaming this on the google dance. i am really fighting for tha t1st position.

any advice and feedback is greatly appreciated.

lol ya that is my site. wow its amazing and also kinda creepy how good you guys are.

EIDT***so my title should say my keyword then? and all the description and keywords meta should have my keyword as well? i see thanks..

Get some basic seo course first. and more links doesn't always mean you will rank higher. The quality of backlinks does matter

Also get some links from related pages, this will work wonders for your site. At the moment all your links aren't from non related sites.

By the way it's quite easy to know your url...

i see , thanks for the advice. you can also see where my links are comin from too/ ? lol how do you guys know my url from that info. sry for the noob questions.

From your screen shot, most of the sites have "extreme couponing canada" on their url

So its relatively easy to guess the keyword
