help!!!!! What is business theory?

Im getting investor interested in funding my compnay and one of the questions is

"what is the theory of your business" can someone elaberate on how to explain that?

Well, unless you provide me with more detail it'd be quite hard to give you a precise answer.

In general... theory of a business is:
- what is the major objective of your buisness and by what means you can meet realize these objectives
- how to get those means and use them effectively
- what are the major threats and how to avoid them
