It is not Univers. In fact, the font that you are reading this post is Univers aka Helvetica. Though there are numerous sites on the internet which display fonts, searching for a particular one without knowing its name would be a tough task.

Thanks all for the responses, managed to play around with the original image so ddnt have to guess what font it was. It was close to Uniwars 
and the What the Font site was useful... just ddnt have money to splash on buying the font!
