I am trying to target a specific keyword with our website. We currently have about 125 backlinks from 23 referring domains, a domain rank of 46 and a url rank of 16 according to ahrefs.com

All our backlinks are good quality coming from niche relevant sites. Our traffic is rather low though with only 30-40 uniques per day.

    I am targeting keyword: xxxxxxx
It has 22,000 exact searches monthly.

1st page google result displays a inner page www.xxxxxx.com/xxxxx which has 31 backlinks to this page with 19 referring domains. There home page www.xxxxx.com has 128,000 backlinks which is way to many to beat.

#10 position is www.xxxxx.xom with 3.4 thousand backlinks and 34 referring domains.

    MY QUESTION IS:

With sahils service"niche monsters" how many backlinks do i need to buy to rank for this keyword?
Is is even possible or worth my time to go for this keyword?

Sorry if this is a newb question...please help.

These days its hard to tell, but with relevant backlinks you might be able to get on the first page, as long as your content is original and is niche relevant. Rem its not overnight and you might need to wait a couple of months to see actual results :)

You can in theory rank for any keyword you want with a big enough budget. You haven't really given us enough details to answer this question, but it really doesn't matter. Just test it. If it ranks, great. If not, you have a better understanding of how to do KW research.
