Hello everyone!
I am trying to dropship some stuff from aliexpress to ebay, thing is, for some items that require me to create variations (clothing or other stuff), I generally get a "higher limit required" error and I am unable to create the auction.

This happens practically with anything, but I posted some wallets with 4 variations (on colors) and I had no problem.

What is the real limit here? It seems completely random to me. Anyone understands these limits to further explain them to me? I've been searching for hours and I still can't find an answer.

Thank you!!!

As a new seller you can't have more than a specific amount of posts until you make a certain amount of sales.

Let's say your limit is 10 items / $1000. That means you are allowed to list 10 items or $1000 total each month. This includes sold items + listed items. So if you sold 5 items for $300, that means you can only list 5 more items for $700 the rest of the month. Each variation counts as a listing, so if you have 4 wallets listed at $50 each, that counts as 4 items / $200.

That's the account limit. On certain categories there also is a category limit.

Dropshipping on a new account might not be a wise choice.

if you dropship on a new account make sure you take it slow....remember you can always operate more than one ebay account at a time if you know what yoru doing
