well there are multiple ways but all these ways are secondary, primary way is nothing but the Search Traffic. I know building backlinks helps the site rank better and i have been doing it for months now, but i have not yet been able to beat the giants for my niche yet. they are always toppers with they category links ranking higher than my index page 
I need to know how can i beat my competitors for my keyword, a bit of explanation about proper link building might help me or anything out of the box that can do this wonder. i will really appreciate that
i am competing with the main keywords mobile movies for my site, and every week i lose my place and have to stay up nights building backlinks on multiple sites to sustain, but i can't move up. i hope some wise geek here can help me. it is hosted on blogger free hosting so nothing like wordpress plugins etc can help me.

You should use social networking sites like Fb and Twitter.Moreover,article submission,blog submission,forum posting are the ways.

Can't agree more. What I like to say is.. "Content is kind.. but the design is queen" make sure to have both of them so you can bring visitors back. Nobody likes a bad designed site

I had seen an established thread on this forum by a senior member which answers A to Z about blog creation to increasing traffic and eventually making money out of it. I think you need to try searching it by the use of search bar.

If u want to get instant traffic, then use youtube and vimeo.
