I'm new to this and trying to setup Amazon to eBay selling. I am an Australian based user and am setting up a US Paypal/Ebay and using a US address. I have a VBA / VCC for PayPal verification. My concern is that PayPal is going to ask me for a SSN which I am unable to provide being in Australia - questions below.

My plan is to wait for the Paypal Account to have $5000 - $10,000 before withdrawing - is this a good method or should I withdraw earlier?

My withdrawal method is to transfer funds from my US Paypal account to my personal Australian Paypal Account. - is this a good method? My other option was to setup an Online store on my legit paypal account, have an item for $5000 and just purchase that (understanding that Paypal will take a commission). Any tips / suggestions

What restrictions will be put in place when asked for SSN - will I still be able to withdraw and funds left in the account or will they be lost until I provide SSN (which is not possible). Any tips on avoiding this.

When asked for SSN I was just going to setup another Paypal account and re-link to my existing eBay account. Will this raise any flags - should I create a new eBay account as well and reverify them all with new address / phone #?

Eventually I would just like to buy an already verified SSN PayPal account but they are $300 and I want to get familiar with the verificaiton process / sales process on eBay before investing this much.

Thanks for your help.

linking a new paypal account to your eBay will not raise any red flags, I've been doing it for quite some time. As per the other Paypal account, it'll be limited for 180 days, and you won't be able to touch the money in there. After the 180 days wait period is over, you'll have to link a real bank account to withdraw the money and you won't be able to use that account to buy/sell anymore.

Oh cool - so I won't need to recycle eBay accounts. Will the new PayPal name need to match the same name as eBay?

The problem I see here though is if I swap to a new PayPal account and my eBay is already able to list a high number of items the amount incoming to the Paypal account is going to raise flags. I think I would need to attach a new account and then start slowly relisting items on eBay in order to avoid a ban.
