Hello fellow BHWers.

How's the hustle going?

I am currently the SEO for a new ecommerce company in my country and I want to do some SEO for them.

What path should I take for best effects? Like what tools, which services to subscribe for, how to best do facebook and Google ads, best ways to get started and what to get started with, best practices...and any other thing that would be beneficial...

Thank you all for your support.

Hi there! You're definitely asking for a lot there, so I will offer one piece of advice that I have learned dealing with e-commerce and hope it helps:

Make sure that your product descriptions and any other content on the site is 100% unique and authentic. I have found that many people simply copy and paste the product descriptions from the suppliers/wholesalers/manufacturers. Not a great idea from an SEO standpoint! Often you pull a lot of your traffic from direct visits to your product pages, so optimize that content and make sure it is 100% unique! You do that and you'll definitely see some positive results (among other things, of course!).

Good lucK!

Thanks for the replies... I've taken into consideration what you have said. What I want to focus on is off-page optimization... But as this is my first time (I've been learning, but no practically), I will like some pointers. Thanks once again.

There are 100's of things to consider when doing SEO for an e-commerce website! Have to be the most difficult to market, especially with the duplicate content issue.

If it's new I'd focus on making sure all the pages have meta details and SEO friendly copy, and then send some brand links to the homepage.
