Hello BHW Community :)
you guys really helped me all the time Im here, but now I need some other help.
Im trying to rank keyword with 700 USE monthly searchs and 27k global monthly searches.
the kw is in the gaming niche and its a game that hasn't been released yet.
Im getting about 30 pages views a day off youtube and sometimes by google search for other term since my site is about all the game versions and not that specific.
I belive that when ill get traffic it will monetize very well because I got alot of things that will make them belive that I really have the game.
Anyways, lets say the game name is:"call of duty 6 black ops", so Im ranking first page for the full KW, but It doesnt have much searches,
what Im trying to rank is:"call of duty 6", hope you guys understood me :)
I did some linkbuilding, onpageseo and more but I still dont see anything, hope someone could review and tell me what I need to add/change.

PS:the #1 site is en.softonic . com the site doesn't has even article about the game... just page with nothing in it.

THANK YOU

But overall it's a nice looking website

you havent told us enough to help you other than point us to the #1 site youre competing against. anyway, a quick analysis of that competitor shows what youre up against if you're thinking of getting into a backlink war:

UZxxv

in addition to their 5million+ backlinks, theyve also got a PR6 ranking from google and just for good measure, according to alexa they are the 162nd busiest website on the planet. you need to show us a bit more info if you want more useful help.

but, they dont have any content about the keyword...

Its david versus goliath im afraid...
Seo the sh*t out of it but against the 162nd busiest site in the world goodluck

but guys, those sites on top just have lots of backling but no content at all...
does it mean they can just open a page about any niche they want and they will rank top for it?

okay, lets try it another way. we dont know if youre simply looking to hit page 1 for a short period of time during the launch of the game or whether or not youre attempting to build an authority site that sticks in the serps over time?

if its the former, you blitz it with everything youve got in the knowledge that youre going to let it crash and burn after youve made your affiliate commissions, if its the latter, we need a lot more info to even think about advising.

do a backlink analysis of your competitors, take screenshots of the analysis and post them on here for people to see what youre up against. there are plenty of people on BHW who are willing to help you but this thread is going nowhere unless you first help us to help you.....

[QUICK & DIRTY METHOD] - to assess whether or not its going to be worth your time, money and commitment to even start a project like this

1 search in GOOGLE for your keyword

in this example ive searched for the keyword NEW YORK HOLIDAYS the following screenshot shows there are 87.5 million results in the Search Results:

9YPgW

now go ahead and do a google search on your own keyword and once you get the search results back, go to step 2.....

2 click your mouse in the address bar

3 get to the end of the address bar

4 add the BLUE google search modifier to the very end of the address (copy it exactly from below and paste onto the end of the address)

&start=990

5 click ENTER

6 the screenshot below is the modified google Search Result i got back

R7Xsd

you'll notice that google has supplied ADDITIONAL information this time and specifically in this example, im told there are 75 PAGES of about 87.5 million results.

what does this mean?

the modifier code instructed google to limit its results to a maximum of 99 pages (of 10 results per page which equals 990 serp listings) of the MOST RELEVANT results. google decided there were only 75 pages (x 10 results per page) of relevant results and what theyre doing is showing us the last page of results they have - ie the lowest ranking of the most relevant.

what does this mean to you?

take it as a rule of thumb that any keyword youre targeting which has 75 - 99 pages of results may as well not exist to you (in your SEO efforts) asits going to take a collossal effort to disloadge 750 other websites who are currently already above you and seen as RELEVANT by google.

anything between 50 and 74 pages is going to take an investment of money AND time (a significant period of time too) before you begin your final ascent onto page 1, but even then, there are no guarantees of top #10 status.

anything between 25 and 49 pages is very very doable with not a lot of effort on your part - in theory, top #10 is achieveable fairly quickly and inexpensively. achieving top #10 when competing against results of less than 24 pages should be a breeze for even a novice.

my caveat is to say that this modifier is only to be used as a QUICK & DIRTY method of assessing competition if you dont have tools or time to do a thorough competiton analysis - i.e. if doing an on the spot estimate for an offline client. you'll be able to tell if youre faced with rankings that are extreme at either ends of 'very easy' or 'very difficult' so you can be confident in your answer whereas if youre faced with 50 - 74 pages of results, all day long you need to get back to the office/home and do a proper analysis before committing yourself.
