Hi SEO Experts,

I am new to SEO field and know some basics about meta keyword, keyword research,SEO friendly URL, Original content that all are on page SEO.

One of my client needs directory submission. I know directory are the website which allows to submit link of other website with short description.

I have some directory site list. Some one can help me by solving my below questions!

Quick questions:

1. Do I submit site to each directory manually by visiting the directory and filling the form.
2. Is there any automation tools for above. Please suggest paid tools + free tools.
3. If I use automated tool to perform directory submission, will that tool submit site to correct category or randomly submit?
4.How many $ I have to charge to client for directory submission?

Thanks.

GSA Auto Website Submitter is the best, but I think it is too expensive.

Another option is Ultimate Demon or GSA Search Engine Ranker. Don't do it manually lol.

You will have captcha costs when submitting to directories. Use Captcha Sniper to cut your captcha costs.

You can use Sliq submitter for that. http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/432049-get-sliqsubmitter-directory-submitter-auto-pilot.html

Do that tool submit the directory to correct category?

I used a tool a while back that worked perfect for directory submission it was called power directory submitter, For me it submitted to right categories and also uses de-captcher api i am unsure if it is in the download section but it is worth checking out.

I have to use my email address or client's email address? and for each directory submission I have to use single email or multiple email addresses?

Be VERY careful when submitting to directories.

Along with guest books, too many links from these sorts of sites have been linked to the "un-natural linking" email

While it IS good practice to get links from a few directories - essp if they allow proper categorization of your site and do not offer "links for cash" - getting too many is not a good idea.

Like guest books, directories offer nothing to the internet in terms of "added value". It's just a link - and Google doesn't like to see a site get too many links from places with just a lonesone link and 10 words of description stuck there for no reason.

Guest books and directories are only set up to provide outbound links and have the flimsiest of reasons why;

Directories claim to be...well directories with the conceit that people go to them and use them in the same way as they would use Google or Bing...which in the case of 99% of directories they don't...never have and never will. (and the search engines themselves are well aware of this)
Guest books are "say hello - and get a link" junk holes.

Getting links in speciality directories IS valueable for example - if there is a site that just lists say "Golf" sites - and you have a good golf site, then a link from there is probably pretty beneficial.

But getting hundreds of links from generic cookie cutter directory sites is poor SEO - Google know these links are valueless and too many of them is not good practice.

For a tiny site (under 10 pages - 10,000 words) consider using under 50 directories
For a huge site (1000's of pages millions of words) use use under 200 directories.
And that's probably a little on the high side.
2 years ago they worked pretty well. Now? Not so much. Indexing new sites is their primary purpose

Scale as appropriate.

Scritty
