I know there's a lot of information here on BHW but I'm just wondering if you guys could suggest any useful posts/guides for ranking easily here in 2015. I know a lot of posts and people are targeted at ranking big keywords but I'm simply just trying to go for keywords that are between 50-500 searches per month, and am trying to find an easy way to rank those (which don't seem too competitive).

Also, I was wondering.. when you guys are ranking keywords between 50-500 searches that don't seem too competitive, how long does it usually take you to get #1 (or high on first page).

if there is not a lot of competition you can rank on page #1 with a good written article
take the internal SEO into account, create titles, subtitles, H1, h2, image descriptions with your keywords
if is it a long tail keyword and you do the SEO work well you can expect to dominate that in less the 3 weeks (nobody know exatcly, this is a rough guess)

I would say try 1 PBN for every week and then see the results, actually I have been tried this out.Else, start playing on Forums that also good idea.

If you are trying to rank low competitive keywords with less search volume then i recommend to have min.600-800 words page content and make sure to have perfect onpage optimization. Without any backlinks you can rank in 3-4 pages. Once your page settle down then add few regular links to reach 1st page.

For a churn n burn project using aged domains, it might take a couple of months (maybe weeks if you're really good).

For regular projects, probably 6+ months to get there and stay there.

I say there is nothing like easely. You need high quality links and some time so you will get results.

The quality of the links will get you where you want to be it's just to find them. You can use PBN's, 301 redirect or Blog posts for this.. be careful when you buy any service ask for samples and low BL along with looking at the repuatation of the user / BST.

Tools like majestic, MOZ, SemRush and Scrapebox will help you to achieve your goals ;)

You can get the ranking in 4-5 weeks, if the competition is damn easy and your on page is PERFECT.

2015 is no different from previous years, you need good quality links pointed at your money site.

I'm having issues ranking and I wonder if this has to do with onpage SEO. Or maybe the length of my articles.

Like maybe I'll start with my Youtube attempts.

There's a guy ranking a youtube video on top of Google SERP for the keyword I'm after.

I uploaded my video in May 2014, and he uploaded later in the year(September) and he made it to the top and I'm nowheres lol

Our videos don't even seem that different. I mean, my youtube description only has 70 words, which maybe is a big issue for myself. But then I look at his and it's got 100 words, but most of that is just spammed keywords. Then my video has 4400 views and 500 likes and his has 1200 views and 500 likes.

It just doesn't seem to make sense to me.. although.... now that I think about it. I was going to pull up backlink information and my majestic toolbar shows n/a for his youtube video, and it also shows n/a for mine. So I checked majestic directly and I figure it wasn't working because the https in youtube video urls. But I checked now and his video has 18 backlinks and 15 referring IPs when mine only has 5 backlinks and 2 referring IPs. (both with 0 tf/0cf).

So I'm wondering if maybe that is my issue... I have been building a bunch of links in GSA SER here and there for the last month and they're not showing... so maybe the biggest issue here would be indexing of backlinks?

If you are trying to rank youtube video in google , blast it with GSA and keywords you want to rank it for - but beware you need a LOT of backlinks and I don't think so quality matters when it comes to youtube, but sure if you point few high pr/pbn posts to the video it will help a lot , but I don't think you need that. You can test it with one of your videos blast it with GSA , I would reccomend really good indexer such as lindexer to get them indexed fast.

I was ranking youtube videos within a matter of a couple of days to a week with a spam set up GSA SER campaign + Express Indexer, it worked wonders.
