Can someone explain to me in more detail what 10 threads roughly mean, or how I can measure how many threads I need?
When I look at my network activity in Chrome using the DevTools while opening a page, for example, I see around 100 threads being opened. But these are probably closed again, right?

Is it possible to estimate how many threads are needed to open a webpage and play a video, for instance?

Threads refers to the concurrent connection to the proxies.

Yes, but unlimited rotating ISP or residential proxies cost several thousand euros per month, and that’s too much for me.

This depends on the site in use, in theory it's possible to do this on a single thread however if the site uses CDNs and other supporting servers then it will likely use at least a handful of threads to serve the webpage and video.

The only way to really verify this is to test it! I'd suggest finding a provider you like the look of and trial their proxies. They should be able to let you know any limitations regarding thread count and also roughly how many you'll be using.

Yes, I would if there was a rotating ISP or resitential proxy.

I have now found out that I can manage with 10-30 threads.
