Hi.

I recently started to affiliating for a product in ClickBank.
And I noticed there is a problem

If people visit my website A and buy the product that I'm promoting, I earn a commission.

But if people visit another website B later on and buy the same product that I'm promoting, the owner of B gets the commission.

Is there any way, method, tool, software, etc. to protect my sales?

Thank you very much for your time:)!

With Clickbank, the last cookie gets the sale. To improve the chances of receiving the sale, you need to do the following:

-Build your list. You need to get folks to opt-in on your website, so you can continue to promote the product via email (it can take up to six visits to a site before many will buy).

-Offer bonuses. Give folks a reason to purchase through YOUR link.

-Proper instruction. Tell your visitors they need to clear their cookies prior to purchase to receive your bonus and tell them the clickbank id they should see on the purchase page (especially if you're promoting an IM product). Don't forget to tell folks HOW to clear their cookies.

Affiliate sales are often hijacked via cooking stuffing, so you need to focus on building a relationship with your list to minimize this as much as possible.

imfh, thank you for your quick reply and kindness.

Okay, this is what I did:
Let's say I'm promoting a product called Cooking eBook.
I got an domain at godaddy, something like http://www.cookingebook-review.org.
I used the "forwarding" program in godaddy, so that my domain will show the sales page of Cooking eBook without showing my ClickBank affiliate ID.
So I think I will not be able to collect an e-mail... (Since I am just using "forwarding" method to make my website look exactly like other website.)

I'm going to SEO and etc. to make my website go to top of Google.

Even though my website goes to the top, even though my hoplink is hidden, even though whatever.
If I'm not the last website, I can't earn the comission and there's no point in my hard work!

So I am needing a help to how to protect my sales, and earn comission.
Is there any way to protect my sales?

Thank you imfh, and others for reading my post :)!

There is no way to do what you are asking.

If someone visits your site, and then doesn't buy the product...
And then they visit my site, and I do a better job of convincing them to buy...I get the commission.
That's how it SHOULD BE!

So, to protect your sales...do a better job of convincing them to make the purchase! ;)

Totally agree with you. We sometimes forget that we are MARKETERS (regardless of the color of the hat).

Hey guys... read this...
Code:
0tocash.com
. no no no.. that's not my site.

I thought it depended on the affiliate network. Clickbank may be "the last one gets the sale" but I don't know if that is true for all programs.

I think most of the program use the "the last one gets the sale" policy.
CJ and ShareAsale does the same.
