Hi, having loads of problem with Plesk. I don't have experience with linux. So went with Plesk panel.

1. Continuous SSL error - Using cloudflare SSL and already manually uploaded the certificates but still it will give error like to prevent SSL error use cloudflare certificate.

I selected preferred domain as www . Can that be an issue?

2. When visiting "Updates" from tools and settings, it asks me for username and password. I am putting the credentials that I use to log into plesk dashboard from DO but it says invalid here.

3. When trying to update plugins after going to Tools & Settings in the dashboard, it says system is already updating in automatic mode and its like 3 hours but still its showing that.

4. DNS not working - Updated "A" record and "CNAME" at cloudflare. Do I need to do the remaining below too?

Anyone please? :(

Write to the technical support of the hosting. Where did you purchase the services?

Well I don’t have experience trying to install (using) plesk panel, but probably the easiest way to solve the certificate problem is to have a completely http only site, then turning on flexible ssl (proxy needs to be enabled in the dns record). It will automagically enable https urls even your server is just serving plaintext.

As far as I know, this is perfectly fine in terms of communication security.

If your services are listening to 443 (doesn’t matter if a valid ssl cert is present or not), then enable full ssl from cloudflare. That should do the trick as well.

ps, might not be related, but, you need to forward both

* to ip address
and
www to ip address

Otherwise, one version of the site will not work.

ps2: on mobile, sorry. Couldn’t see the images properly. I’ll try to answer the question in a better way when I login from my desktop. :p

I am not expert either, but I recently used Plesk on AWS Lightsail. For the SSL issue, maybe deleting that manually uploaded certificate can help. If you're using Nginx, Plesk can install a free Let's Encrypt SSL for you.

As for the DNS resolution, filling in the A records is usually not enough for Plesk because Plesk uses specialized nameservers that need you to also configure glue records on the side of Cloudfare. Depending on how Cloudfare's system is setup, you may be able to do that yourself or you may need to contact support. Plesk has some guides about this, but I am not sure whether I'm allowed to post links here. I'm a nube.

For SSL maybe its standing in cloudflare on flexible at the moment? If so change it to full otherwise it doesn't work (when you installed the CF certs), then try what BlurryBit is suggesting.

For the update problem maybe try rebooting your server/VPS because maybe some service needs to be restarted.
