well ive bin reading up on this forum since last year and have made alittle money from blogs but never realy had the time to put much into making money online but now i want to start a proper website as ive got the time and recently lost my job for a more stable and bigger income so if anyone who has got 2 minutes of spare time could you please tell me the best way to advertise a movie streaming website if i have some money to pay for advertising? and also doing the advertising myself thanks so much :rolleyes:

Warez talk isn't allowed at BHW, but assuming you actually have the *ahem* RIGHTS to any of the movies you're streaming, one way to promote would be to create a few banner ads and find sites with a similar focus on free content and see if you can pay them to post your banner. I know that many free content distribution networks also have banner and link exchanges, so that might be another advertising avenue to look into.
 
thanks :) is streaming like seasons of stuff illegle because ive seen so many sites streaming seasons of programs ect ?

Streaming content that you do not have license to stream is illegal in almost all countries.
 
ermm im going to basically embed them? i dident think that was illegle and you reckon id get easily picked up for this and get into crap basically? lol

It is much more likely that your hosting account would just get suspended, but it depends on the laws of the country you live in and the laws of the country your host is located in. There have been some pretty large, successful lawsuits in the US to shutdown sites that merely provided links to pirated materials. In most cases, if the host receives a DMCA, they'll just suspend your account.
 
argh thats no good then :( any ideas a good legal site to put content protection gateway on then?
 
You have no full stops (.) :)

There are better and bigger ways to make money than blogs here, read some methods up, select 2/3 methods and work on it, then scale it up before you jump onto other methods. What people normally end up doing is trying out many methods and fail miserably. So chill and take it step by step ;)
 
I tried everything from adsense to ewhoring before but didn't made anything. Later i started email marketing and i m making good money with it.

Moral of the story: Stick to one method and generate money.
 
any copyrighted content u swipe/download from somewhere else is illegal to repost, if that is what you are asking. It doesn't matter whether you embed it, offer it for download, whatever. it's still illegal if it belongs to/was created by someone else and you reuse it without their permission.
