know its not all sunshine and roses in IM and that it takes a lot of hard work, hence why im here trying to learn.
^^^^^but how do you rank the youtuber videos? that is worthless advice if you don't know how to rnak the videos in the first place. No different from the SEO advice of 'create prize winning content and the traffic will magically float out of the sewers'.
That is a very interesting, astute, yet funny observation you've made there! Here is just one method a I use to drive traffic to affiliate links / my sites. For some strange reason gamblers love to watch fruit machines / pokies / slot machines / roulette in play on YouTube. I make / lend videos and upload them to YouTube. I make them in demo play, but do not make it obvious that the machine is in demo mode, because it really upsets gamblers.
I dont personally track most of my traffic, however I know I have pulled some big players off YouTube.
Internet marketing is a rose; beautiful to look at, but it hurts if you carelessly grab onto it.sunshine and rainbows* sorry it was bugging me, youtube is an awesome source of traffic if you do it right
i know its not all sunshine and roses in IM...
I've seen spelling and grammar police... :cool3: but now we have idiom police???? LOLsunshine and rainbows* sorry it was bugging me...
It's actually quite rare to see pedants on Black Hat World. They're common everywhere else on the Internet, but not on Black Hat World. The reason they are rare on Black Hat World is because people here usually have the sense not to correct the spelling of the members of a culturally-diverse forum such as this one.Off Topic, I know :target: but... I thought this was funny.

Sunshine and Roses (1967) :weather02
Sunshine and Roses (1913)
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows (Rocky)
Sunshine, Lollipops, And Rainbows (1963)
The thing with idioms is they change and morph geographically and over time. :captain:
:ranger:
My mistake, the rocky quote is definitely inspirational though, thanks for the clarification.Off Topic, I know :target: but... I thought this was funny.

Cool. Just keep working it, watch the results and tweak what you're doing when necessary. When you do start seeing results then continue working that project while you start another project and try to duplicate what you did for the first. Remember it's better to have 5 sites making $10 a day each than it is to have just one site making $30 a day. Of course it goes without saying that it's even better to have 10 sites making $30 a day each. LOLthanks for all the adviceits all appreciated.
OK, well the biggest thing you need to get in your head is that internet marketing isn't a get rich quick scheme. You probably already understand that in your rational mind, but the hype will always be hanging out back there in the id.
4 weeks isn't even enough time to make a good evaluation about you're progress. It would be an amazing bit of luck if you were able to get your site ranked and producing income in that short a period of time. It can be done, but usually by people who have been doing it for awhile, and even then usually because they have a lot of other resources they've built up previously.
A lot of information out there (especially guru ebooks) make it seem like IM is so easy anyone can do it and achieve riches in a short time. That part is just a bunch of marketing hype, so don't get too wrapped up in that mindset. On the other hand everything that needs to be done is easy, you just have to do a lot of it which makes it seem a bit more daunting at times. The short period of time is a bit more problematic though.
A few years ago getting a site to rank actually was fairly easy. Just include a longtail keyword in the domain name, do some basic on-page keyword optimization, and then get as many backlinks as possible using keyword anchors. Google operates with the stated goal of returning the most relevant sites for any search. To accomplish that they are constantly working on updates to the search algorithms to prevent such an easy way to manipulate your own page position in the serps. Consequently, it's become a bit more involved and takes a bit more time to get a good serp ranking.
I can almost hear you're frustration when I read your posts. You get the generalities, but want to know what exactly you should do. The fact is - you're going to learn what you need by just doing it. The more you work at it, the more the things you read in various threads will make sense. Some things that work for other people will work for you, and some of it might not. The longer you work at it the more you'll figure out what works for you and you'll tweak you're site and plan accordingly.
One thing that can be evaluated about your progress so far is that you already got started on something. That already sets you apart from most newbies. If you can just keep doing what you're doing without getting burned out, you should eventually see some results. As you progress and evaluate your results, you'll keep figuring out what works best for you.
