[HELP]Paypal account limited for ridiculous reason

I have a paypal account for many years, and I only use it for purchasing virtul service like domian, hosting, etc.

Yestoday I received a email from paypal, they told me that my account has been limited due to a Temporary Restraining Order from US court, here is the mail.

Dear ***,

PayPal recently received a Temporary Restraining Order ("Order") concerning
a lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the of Norther
District of Illinois in the matter of Luxottica USA LLC v. The
Partnerships, et al; Case No. 14-cv-8039, relating to the sale of
counterfeit goods bearing LUXXOTICA AND RAY-BAN trademarks. The Order
requires that your account and current balance be temporarily restrained
until PayPal is advised otherwise by the Court. It is our understanding
that you have been or will soon be served with a copy of this Order.

We kindly request that you or your legal counsel direct all questions
regarding this restraint to the law firm Greer Burns & Crain, who is
representing the plaintiffs in this matter, at
[email protected].

I contacted the paypal, they told me that I need to communicate with lawyer who filed that lawsuit, and try my best to get a settlement. Paypal can not reliese my account until the lawyer cancer that lawsuit.They also said that this case is normal and base on their experience, if I communicate well with their lawyer, I have a big chance to get back my account.

I was really really really fcking ungry. I did nothing wrong, actually I did nothing. But now I have a big chance to get back my old account if I communicate well with their shittt lawyer!!!

I have no idea about how US court functional, but anyone can file a lawsuit without proof? If so, who can protect those innocent customers?

Anyone has the same experience or have any suggestion? I have no idea about how to define a "good communication" to their lawyer.

Already called. They told me that I must contact lawyer and convice him to cancel the lawsuit, otherwise my account will limited forever.

I have no idea where they get the prove that my account related to the counterfeit things. You can see my account trade history, only buy virtual service. And paypal should know it, and still they do nothing but limited.

So you have done what the suit claims you have? That means that somebody somewhere (read NSA) was looking at your porn collection and saw you sell some counterfeit stuff and ran to his boss a happy wanker.

Not at all, you can see my account trade history. I have done nothing about selling online not mention counterfeit. This account I just use for buying virtual service.

wired, the only time paypal limited my account it was to confirm my billing addy and done it's long time ago i had selled buy and make gift and never been such things
but what is the domains u have about have been any infection code will if they ur account will never been locked again

Today one of my domain (huameiren.com) was been compulsory transfered out of my account. Because my domain is on the list of case file.

It is really really ridicoulus, because this domain has nothing related to their brand (Ray-ban), and I also didn't sell it to them or build anything harm their brand.

I have no idea how US court function, but the court can accept case without provement? and also, my paypal was been liminated as the paypal account email same to the domain registry email. Entil paypal limited my account, I didn't receive any notification from paypal, is that normal?

Anyone has any idea to help me? I do nothing in this case, I am a 8-year paypal customer, but after 8-years, paypal just told me that they don't have authority to deal with this situation. My domain registried more than 3 years, no any harmful actions. My paypal account is totally clean and only legit transiactions. Now I lose them both in this ridicoulus case, and most pathetic thing is that I have no idea how to reaction.

Because they take away my account, I must do something wrong. That is the right logic?

Base on your opinion, the word "framed" is no need to been created.

Here is no judge, I have no need to pretend innocent here. I just come here search some help, that's all.

Second, As I said before, here is no judge,and your sympathy can do nothing to help me get my domain and account back. Why should I spend so much time to discuss here when I already know that paypal has very strict TOS about countfeit. I just need some help because I do did nothing in this case.

Here is my paypal entire years action, nothing related to real good, I can provide more if nessarry.


Then I check my domain registry's backend. Find this domain NS record use a third party service.



I don't know If I add this record, just count on me. I go this service provider's backend. But no this domain record.



I also check the web archeive, there are only two records about my domain. One in 2007, which the domain not belong to me. The other is 2013, I parked this domain in that time.



Finally I use domaintools to check the domain information.(sorry I copy a wrong picture)should be this one.

Sorry I can not upload more picture. But the whois information is still mine, seems the problem is in that thirdparty dns provider.

Still, I need to thank you. At least now I know what's going on.

And another question, just because my domain related to the countfeit case, they can limited my paypal account as they use same email, even my paypal account hasn't any record to the case?

dont worry about your paypal account/domain
just lawer up to avoid more conflic or bigger fees

The information already not mine in april this year(mine's [email protected] which I used to registry paypal and been limited). But the domain always in my account, never been push to any other account.

Still, I need to thank you. At least now I know what's going on.

Did you register that domain with PP?
That email address shows you own that domain and if it is the same as your PP address that is probably why they have limited it.
