Hi Everybody

Suppose you have a domain with "concert" in it (let's say for instance concert99.com) and you want to rank high with concert new-york, concert chicago, concert los angeles, and so on....

How should be the URLs ?

Like this ?

www.concert99.com/concert-new-york/
www.concert99.com/concert-chicago/
www.concert99.com/concert-los-angeles/

OR

www.concert99.com/new-york/
www.concert99.com/chicago/
www.concert99.com/los-angeles/

since the keyword concert is already within the domain name ?

Is it better to have a longer keyword with concert + city together or a shorter URL with the city after the domain only ?

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Cheers

C.

you don't need to have it in URL again but you can include it in title and limit the URL structure to 50 characters. my thought!

I prefer the last one.
Because the keyword is already on your domain, then you dont need to repeat it.
Nowdays, Google does not weight url too much. IMO

This is so unhandy. having main kw in domain imo is just not advised. i faced strong overoptimization penalties on multiple pages. Dont put any kw that you will try to rank in domain name.

or later you will have "concert99.com/concerts-in-usa/marilyn-manson-concert

BUT
if you already cant change the domain

then go for concert99.com/the-best-concert-in-usa

(benefit from exact match in url is just too big to lose it)

Don't use full keywords in URL, Penguin will slap you for that. It screws densities and looks like crap and leads to overoptimization.

OP, try to avoid repeating keywords that are unnecessary in your URL. It is a bad idea. Be wary of over-optimization and keyword stuffing.
