Help on Keyword Research

Hello, I was brainstorming for a new micro niche site. I found a keyword which has "Low competition" on Keyword revealer. But all the top 10 has high DA for all the 10 result. But a google play app, an itunes app and a facebook page comes in first four result.

will this be a good keyword to target for a micro niche site? Is it good to have itunes, google play apps and fb pages on search results? are they beatable easily?

This is hard to give feedback without knowing the keyword. As you need to try and work out if Google is filling those spots because there is nothing better or are the pages rankings because they are the best results. If it's the later no point going after it. If you feel the pages from Facebook, iTunes and Google play are not helping the search outcome than I would say go for it.

What are the pages under these four?

A lot depends on the on page seo aspect too, it is possible to beat huge named sites by working smarter, not just harder.

Are they targeting the exact keyword in titles etc?
Is there an EMD available for you to buy ?

In my experience, PA is more relevant than DA in this case. I have found it easier to outrank sites with low PAs, even if they have high DA. I have found Google's Keyword Planners competition metric to be almost worthless.

Agreed with others. As well, can suggest you to check Keyword Difficulty for the particular keywords (it is available in a number of tools). You will get lots of useful info-the number of page's and domain's backlinks, on-page optimization rate, social signals, and page age-that will help you focus on either on-page or off-page optimization for yourself taking into account weak points of your competitors.

If the sites are all with high DA, look for the links that are powering up these pages. Then again it also depends on the type of properties that occupy and the niche you're targeting. Example : a youtube video on the first page is often a good sign, even though YT has a super high DA. On the other hand if it's an amazon listing page even with PA1, then it becomes slightly more difficult to replace it. The authority of such domains play an important part too.

We have to check the competitor's Metrics and their on page SEO before telling this is low or medium competition. Keep it in mind that if high authority sites exist in top 10, we can't beat them easily. Now they don't have any links but they can get top if they do some easy links.

The Number of backlinks is not true in the keywordrevealer. We have to check in majestic.
