[HELP] Noob questions on link building

hi, i am new to seo. so a few questions i would like to ask the gurus here about link building.

1- link building.
my page is ranked higher because of the juice of the link itself or because someone else clicked the link and visits my site?

2. link building services provided in BHW, do the links attract visitors who will likely to engage with the site/sale?

whats playing in my mind is the page is ranked higher because there are links which scattered through the net (authority sites). and the juice from the sites will move the page higher. visitors will only engage with the sale/offer by googling the keywords. this means the page is not ranked because of the visits/clicks from the links. is it correct? :/

Most often no. But you might find services on Actual Guestposts and Editorial links. These might bring you visitors which might engage with your content
