[Help] New website getting thousands of spammy backlinks

I started creating content for a new website 2 weeks ago. I was posting one blog post per day. I have not started created any backlinks yet, but today when I used backlink checker I found that someone has created thousands of spammy backlinks to my website. I also found that many domains were redirecting to my domain. I wonder, what one can do in such a situation? I'd also like to know what could be the motive behind creating such spammy backlinks?

Are there by any chance jealous people around you who found out about your new project?

Or have you done something bad to someone and it is karma?

Or a pretty good domain in a competitive niche that someone doesn't want it to rank?

Unfortunately, only Disavow Tool would help..
 
Thank you Alexander for your reply. No one except me knew about the website I was working on. Many of the hits to my website are coming from China. Yes, the domain has a catchy name. May be they want me to give up on that domain. Ok, I will see if Disavow tool can help me in this.

Hey Bro,

Even I had a client with the same situation.

Communicate to the Webmaster (using Console) Request Junking, create and submit a disclaim to Google to ignore those links.
 
That's interesting... sad but interesting.
Your website is new and probably doesn't rank for anything so why would anybody spam it???
I guess disavow tool is your best bet even though I think it's useless.
 
You should first identify the links, then contact the webmasters of the sites and ask them to remove the links. If they don’t respond, you can then use a disavow tool to remove all those links.
