HELP! negative article on google

Hello,

there is a terrible article on google that I would like pushed as far down as possible, or removed ( I know thats unlikely)
someone filed a lawsuit based on complete lies. A court news service picked it up and then a blogger picked it up. The case is being dismissed because it was entirely untrue, but this horrible information is on the first page of google search.

I am new and can't PM anyone. I am in no way wealthy and I don't have much money. I could pay $500 if someone could help me. I could also refer you to some people that do have real money and will require these services as well

The case was tossed out and dismissed because there was no evidence to support their claims. But the problem is that the original case was picked up by a courthouse news blog and then other blogs just picked it up as well. I also don't have the finances to hire lawyers to go back to court. The people I would be suing don't have money either. Even if I won, I couldn't collect. I want those articles pushed as far down as possible. I spoke to someone tonight from the boards who may be able to help. thanks for your replies
 
if a blogger picked it up, the best thing may be to contact the blogger, explain what happened, and ask them to add onto the article saying it was resolved etc.
If you write up something nice and polite to them they may take it into consideration. I know if someone emailed me about one of mine with a resolution story, or a claim and proof of the story being false, I would not remove the post, but I would make sure the mention that it was resolved and turned out to be lies.

Reputation management isn't about "pushing down" a particular result. It's about "pushing up" other pages that your name ranks for in the top 20-30 search results. It can be tricky, especially if it's in a competitive category. Also, depends where the negative article is appearing in the search results. If it is your name that's triggering the search result, you'll need to start throwing links at your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn accounts and any other social assets that you have that should be ranking in the top 10-20-30 results. Just my .02.
