Help needed. Strange Issue on Website

I know this is not a web development community, but I trust a few guys here have tons of experience in the field.

I need some help figuring out what the heck is wrong with my site...why it behaves rather strangely. Here is the issue.

When I wrap text in tags like ², I expect it to be superscripted, but it is displayed with the tags, exactly as I typed it on the backed. This doesn't happen on the main content, but on a quiz main question field. The quiz options fields display the content correctly.

I have tried the basic things like disabling plugins and changing themes, but the problem seems to persist.

I can't ask for help from the quiz plugin authors as I don't have a valid license. It is an LMS.

Suggestions to help me troubleshoot this problem will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The first results in google suggest it is a CSS conflict. Define or reset <sup> in the CSS file.

Thanks for the response bro, but how do I define or reset <sup> in the CSS file?

As I found, put this in the CSS file and delete/modify the previous.

It is not just the <sup> tag that does not convert. Any HTML tag in the field where I type the quiz questions does not convert. Other examples are bold, italics, underline tags. Strangely these HTML tags work well on other areas of the site, such as the main content area and even the quiz answer fields.

I'm thinking it is not a CSS issue but something that's got to do with Javascript but I don't know how to solve it.
